About me

I was born and raised in Italy, where I studied history of art, culture, and linguistics before life led me back to my earliest passion: dance. Although I initially pursued a career in linguistics, movement had already shaped my way of understanding the world. I studied modern and contemporary dance and soon became deeply drawn to dance theater and performance art, which brought me to Paris to study performing arts.

I began performing internationally in Paris, Venice, and Vicenza, developing a practice rooted in improvisation and a rigorous search for honesty in movement. My work explores emotional depth, memory, and identity, valuing vulnerability as a source of strength and research as a path toward self-discovery. In 2017, I performed in the opening of the Venice Biennale, a formative moment in my artistic journey.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Culture and Linguistics and a Master’s degree in Performing Arts. Since moving to the United States, I have collaborated with choreographer Angel Ramirez, since 2022 and serving as the protagonist in his work Renacimiento. I am currently based in Arlington, Virginia, where I continue to research and create performance work grounded in authenticity and presence.

Notes from the Artist

Thoughts d’Artiste is an invitation to reflection, those who can catch the reference know it’s an ironic twist to Piero Manzoni’s “Merde d’Artiste”. I search for criticism and to share my thoughts openly to the world although at times, they might just be merde.

Birds born in cages think that flying is a disease.
